A new start

We just bought our first house. We haven't even moved in yet. I have been all over blogland looking for ideas and inspiration and decided it could be fun to start a blog about our house and projects and see how it evolves with time.

We are Lucianna and Thomas. We are 33 and 38 years old. 

A little old to be buying our first house, but that is what this is. We met online (thanks match.com) in August 2005, I was in Brazil and he was in Chicago. He made his way there in June 2006 and we got married in November of the same year. A LOT has happened and I will post about it with time, but right now we live in Michigan with our 2 baby boys. Baby Thomas is almost 18 months and baby Nicholas is almost 7 months. They are 11 months apart to the day. I have my hands full... :)

We found a great foreclosure house to buy. It has great bones and needed a lot of work. Whoever owned it before took the toilets, fixtures, even the slate around the pool... I understand people get mad about losing their houses but... oh well... 

I need to go there with some sea salt and sugar the get rid of the bad vibe... 

As of right now we have a contractor working on it. We had to get a rehab loan and the major work needs to be done by a contractor.

We are hoping we will be able to move in in less than 2 weeks. We are currently living in an extended stay hotel and this is really getting old.
